A characterful apartment excellently and privately placed. Cosy but striking decor with lots of interesting pictures on the walls. It was great to be in the heart of the town, with excellent bistros two minutes' walk in either direction plus a fab deli just over the road. Good views out, including a herring gull standing on a chimney pot silhouetted against a pink sky one morning. The only annoyance was the sound of early morning delivery vans whizzing in.
Shades of Grey is perfectly located for a break in beautiful Aldeburgh. Comfortable, homely and brilliantly equipped, we'd definitely recommend!

Lovely place to stay
Very lovely place, an excellent location and you feel right at home and that you can make it your home, would recommend for any special occasions, would come again.
We had a wonderful few days; the flat is beautiful and really comfortable with lots of space. It is central to town so great for getting out locally with amenities right on the doorstep! Wouldn’t hesitate to rebook!
We had a really lovely 4 days at the apartment. It was an easy space to navigate & feel comfortable in. On the main street so everything was within easy walking distance. Bed was really comfortable and living space great. Especially liked the window seat to watch comings & goings of people & birds! Only negative for us was we found the apartment very warm - despite having windows open constantly. Also would recommend earplugs for a good night's sleep, the bar across the road was noisy & the seagulls were as you would expect at a seaside resort very loud. Parking - although not a great issue for us does need working out & maybe some info about where it's OK to park easily would have been helpful. Would recommend the property.

The accommodation is right in the heart of Aldeburgh with all the shops and restaurants close by and only a stone's throw from the beach. The apartment is clean, comfortable and has everything you need for a stay. Robin our host was very responsive, and clearly communicated everything we needed to know for a very successful trip.
